MailFiler Tip #8 - Creating Your Own Branding On Emails
MailFiler Pro can create HTML versions of your emails on the file system of in a virtual directory where they can be viewed over HTTP from a web browser. It will also create an index of email conversations for each Project / Job and a master list of all Projects / Jobs (like a website homepage).
You can customize the look and feel of how the emails are created when they are saved and you can also change and customize the look, feel and functionality of the index pages. You might want to do this to fit in with corporate branding or your intranet.
To customize the look at feel you need to modify the following files in the MailFiler folder.
| FileName | Purpose |
| template.htm | This is the template from which the emails are generated. Tags are located in the file where values such as 'Subject' etc. are filled in. |
| index.xsl | This is the XML stylesheet that is used to create the index of mails in each Project / Job |
| home.xsl | This is the XML stylesheet that is used to create the master index of all Projects / Jobs. |
